Family Gastro-hotel Laleta is our home where we receive our guests from all over the world. We are happy to show you the true meaning of Georgian hospitality. All the guests become our friends, and we gladly reveal to them mysteries and beauties.
Family Gastro-hotel "Laleta" is a real Svani mansion!
From time immemorial Svani were used to build big two-storeyed mansions with spacious verandas and splendid views to the surrounding mountain peaks. A spacious stne house is a pride of big Svani family. While visiting us, you will find out more about the advantages of Svani engineering. Levan Parjiani, host’s father, was an engineer on the construction site of Enguri hydro-electric power station, so he built his house not only following the Svani canons, but also using XX century technologies, keeping up with modern requirements. Mansion is over 50 years old, but still as new. It can survive mudflow and earthquake.
We live on the first floor; kitchen and storage room are also there. Guestrooms are on the second floor. We have 5 rooms, from single to family suite with 5 beds, total capacity is 16 persons. There are 2 balconies on the second floor, one is open-air and the other gazebo. Those balconies and windows of the mansion reveal a beautiful see sight to Laila glacier, Banguriani mountain and the old Svani village Lakhushdi with its towers and surrounding forest.

We have a parking, a camping zone, where you can pitch your tent, free Wi-Fi in the house. Central heating system works during the winter period, so temperature in the rooms and halls is comfortable. We provide laundry service for our guests.
Cleanness and personnel
Despite Laleta is not a 5-star hotel, we put an additional effort in maintaining cleanness. Toilets, halls and balconies are being washed daily, guestrooms – before the arrival and after the departure, also we can clean your room by request, as well as we can change sheets and towels by request. Hosts are mixed Svani-Russian family, they also speak English, so you can communicate in any language of these three, as well as gat help in communication with Svani personnel.
Food
We serve meals two times a day, breakfast and supper. Usual course is 4-5 dishes. “Every day a feast”, that’s what our guests say. Basically we prepare traditional Georgian and Svani meals, composing the natural and diversified menu. Generally those meals are vegetarian, so if you do not eat meat, you can enjoy our rich and flamboyant kitchen. But every supper includes at least one meat dish, also in traditional Svani way. Beef cattle are local breed. Water in Laleta is taken from mountain streams fed by glaciers. Boiling before drinking is preferable. We keep an electric boiler in the dining hall. We keep there a coffeemaker too, as well as tea, coffee and sugar for free and constantly available. Refreshment drinks, beer and mineral waters, for which Caucasus is well-known, are in the refrigerator in the same dining-hall, for modest prices If guests take a mountain trip with our guides, we prepare a backpack lunch at their request.
Souvenirs and alcohol
We can provide our guests with Georgian vines of famous brands. We serve Svani traditional home-made vine and home-made hard liquors (natkhani and chacha) as well. In the shop-window in dining hall you could see handmade souvenirs: Svani felt hats, miniature towers, drinking-horns, knives, costume jewelry and so on. Prices are considerable.
Entertainment
There is a fireplace in our spacious dining hall. Widescreen TV, arm-chairs, audio system are at your disposal. You can use the TV for watching your own videos and photos from USB-drive. The hall can seat 40 persons. Guests from other hotels often come to us for taking part in ethnic parties or true Georgian feasts. Local folk band, choir, dancers, professional entertainer, tales and legends, and, of course, vine – that’s what Georgian feast is!
Our village is situated in the picturesque valley. People are hospitable and friendly, landscapes are beautiful, guides are skilled. You can take a walk to the nearby Laila glacier or to the marvelous Ushba, or else rent a horse and equipment. Master-classes of cooking, felting, blacksmithery – Laleta certainly is not a boring place!
